Make Money Online with Google Adsense
If you are someone who spent even a minimal amount of time on the net you have surely seen those little ads for products and services that appear on the right, left, top, bottom and even center of a website or blog. These innocuous ads have attention getting headlines that promise more information provided you click on them. Because of this, these ads are appropriately known as "click through" ads and the king of all click through ads is Google Adsense. Every year, hundreds of millions of dollars flow into Google's coffers thanks to Adsense ads so if you are the proprietor of a website or blog why not jump on the Adsense bandwagon yourself and earn a little extra income?
The way it works is simple: you apply for an Adsense account from Google and they will provide you with a code you affix to your site. After you affix the code, Google will scan you site's content and start rotating in appropriate ads. For example, if your site deals with football then all the Google Adense ads will relate to football in some way. When someone clicks on the ads, Google charges the advertiser a fee and then splits the fee with the website that hosts the ad. This fee can be anything from a few cents to several dollars and they add up over time. If no one clicks on the ad, however, you won't receive any income so this lead to the strategy that need to be employed in order to boost income potential.
If there was one secret to Google Adsense success it is found in the quantification of websites and traffic. That is, in order to be successful you need traffic to your site. After all, if no one visits your site they very well can't click on your Adsense ads! Because of this, it becomes critical to do anything and everything under the sun that has the potential to increase traffic to your website. This includes any and all search engine optimization techniques at your disposal: link building and trading, submissions to article directories, submission to web and article directories, promotional blogging and any and every other method at your disposal. The more traffic you direct to your website the greater potential for people to click on your Adsense ads. Yes, this may take a little additional effort but nothing of any value comes without effort. Google may provide its service to you with little hassle but in order to make the service a solid revenue stream the legwork is up to you.
Of course, the more websites you are able to do this with the greater potential for income is present. This should not come as a surprise. After all, who has the potential for more income – someone with one website or blog or someone with 10 websites or blogs? Putting all your Adsense eggs into one website/blog simply is not a method for success. Mathematically it just isn't a smart business plan. In fact, it is a business plan many people use to great success.
On a side note: don't click on your own site's ads or try anything shady. Google will but you and through you out of the Adsense program. Dishonesty will get you nowhere and it will cost you an unknown amount of future revenue so avoid such shenanigans at all costs.
